Cindy Raimer, Director of Education

I am honored and excited to be able to lead The Riveredge School as the Director of Education.  I am passionate about instilling a love of nature, demonstrating the value of community, and embracing the curiosity and wonder in our students. Nothing makes me more excited than project based learning. I love teaching children to communicate with their peers, collaborate on designs and solutions, and look to nature for inspiration. There is no better instruction manual.

My parents instilled a deep respect and love of nature in me from a youth filled with adventures in the natural world. We went hiking, biking, skiing, canoeing, caving, climbing, rappelling and fishing. They provided me with a wealth of experiences and an appreciation for travel and discovery.

I have had a wide range of experiences in public education over the past 25 years; as a parent, para, teacher, volunteer and treasurer of a PTO, and an elected school board member. These experiences have given me an appreciation and respect for each member of our school community and the role they play in its success.

My husband and I have 3 wonderful children, who all inherited my love of adventure! The water is our happy place and we have tried most watersports, from paddle boarding, kayaking, waterskiing, and wake surfing. When we aren’t on a body of water you can find me enjoying a great book in a scenic location. Our family also includes two cats and an assortment of other critters. During the pandemic, we became fosters for the WI Humane Society and we have bottle fed, loved and nurtured 38 kittens on their path to their “furever” homes.
